Once the link for self-registration is sent to the candidate and he/she selects "I am currently working here", the request is automatically put on hold by the system and the candidate has the option to fill in a future last working date. Once the future date has passed, OnGrid's team gets a notification basis which the request is then initiated for verification.

The check is put on hold for a current employer because:

• Most company's HR policy does not allow them to comment on the candidates until they have left the system
• Most candidates do not specify the reason for leaving, which can impact them in the background verification process
